I've been a Presenter at 101FM for over 17 years and love the environment where I'm able to present my own selection of musical content. I have always had a love of music going right back to my pre teens. Being in the music industry as a karaoke owner operator for 21 years has only helped my love of music. My favourite music would have to be country, from the 60's thru to today. I also love presenting what I like to call easy on the ears format, the likes of Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett just to name a few.
I joined 101FM in August 1987 and served many years in management positions such as Treasurer, Secretary, Senior Vice President and President. I was granted Life Membership in August 1998 for dedication and service to 101FM. I appreciate the ongoing training provided at the station & am grateful to present a program with music of my own selection.
Played rhythm guitar in 60/40 band The Trojans, 1965 to 1967 around Brisbane. Played at Brisbane Festival Hall on two occasions, supporting Jimmy Little & Col Joye, The Joye Boys & Little Pattie.
Hi, it's Paul Barrett and I've been working in radio now for nearly 20 years & love every minute of it.
When I'm not behind the microphone, I love catching up with friends & family, movies & catching some concerts around Southeast Queensland, over the years I've seen Arrested Development, Billy Joel, The Dixie Chicks & Wendy Matthews to name a few.
I’ve been with 101FM since late 2015 and pride myself on the fact that we bring you the biggest and best variety of interesting and informative guests every week. I love the interaction with our listeners via Facebook and enjoy meeting many of them at outside broadcasts ‘Movie of the month’ events.
Being given the chance to choose our own music for each show is a great bonus & I try to keep it upbeat and fun with a great range of hits and classic memories.

My radio career commenced in the 70's with commercial radio in WA presenting a variety of ‘on-air’ programs including talk-back and interviews. I've been very fortunate to have had the opportunity of being associated with the following stations: Prime Radio 4RO Rockhampton; 4CC Gladstone; 6KA Karratha; Yeppoon 91.3. Super Radio Network 93.5 (NSW); Central Radio 87.6 Beenleigh and Bay FM 100.3 Redland. Positions held within these networks have included Station Manager, Program Director, Music Director and Sales Manager.
I have been with 101FM since 1990, my first program the Classic Rock Clock was a 60's show, Bill and Mary Hardman were my mentors. Music is a real passion of mine, I ran my own mobile DJ company for 26 years and loved entertaining children as my alter ego "DJ Crazy".
Radio lets me be myself, away from my normal daily grind. In my spare time, I enjoy travelling, camping and spending time with my family in the great outdoors.
One of my favourite past times is to prepare and present the Time Capsule show on the third Sunday of each month. During this show, I focus on one particular year and over the course of the four hour show, I exclusively play songs from Brisbane's Top 40 charts of that year, while also regaling my listeners with details about the big news events of that year; the fads at that time, and how much we paid for things like cars, electrical goods and real estate. The best part though, is being able to play the "forgotten" songs from back then, to truly bring back pleasurable memories for the listening audience.
I enjoy the giving back to the community and the opportunity to do so. I have no previous experience in radio but as a teenager loved the music box that filled a good part of our lives before TV. My taste in music goes back to the late 50's and 60’s that is what I enjoy most but as the years go on l am now finding that some of today's music has what I like. A bit of rhythm and easy listening. Radio is my interest and hobby, finding new music for listeners entertainment is what I enjoy, 2nd hand CD sales are where the treasures are found. AFL is my sport of choice.
Hi, I'm Alan Casonati, Sales Manager and "Part Time" Presenter here at Logan City's 101FM. From a very young age I have always loved "Radio" and like many people in my age group, I would look forward to tuning in to my favourite Radio Serials and listening to the music Radio Stations would play. Around 40 years ago I was offered the chance to get into the industry at 4TO in Townsville as a Sales Consultant/Copy Writer calling on businesses who would promote their goods & services on the radio station. Here at 101FM I was given the opportunity to not only continue servicing our Sponsors, I also became involved in "Voicing" their ads,
and doing various Air Shifts.
I started my Community Radio experience in the late 1980's. After leaving presenting, I listened to Logan City 101FM for many years. I thought I'd get back into radio so joined 101FM in March 2015 and it's been great. All the people at 101FM are excellent and it's like a big family. My favourite genre is Australian music from the 1960's to today, and 101FM plays lots of the great songs of all time. 101FM is the best radio station in Australia.
I treasure the opportunity to be a presenter on 101FM. It is a vibrant Community radio station; there is a professionalism about the way things are done; we have a wonderfully supportive listener base and, most of all, it has given me a chance to fulfil a life-time dream of being a radio presenter. I enjoy a wide range of music, starting with Bach and Mozart, through to the sub genres of jazz, blues and contemporary popular music. I am always on the look out for 'lost 45s' or rare grooves and, naturally, I am a Beatles' tragic.
Known as Captain Rob, after 40 years in aviation, Robert Cowley joined 101FM in 2019. Since retiring, Robert has returned to entertainment, written a book “WHY ANYTHING - WHY NOT NOTHING” (published in 2019), worked tirelessly for charities, and been a regular speaker with Rotary, Charities, Lions, Retirees Association, etc. While in his twenties, Robert was introduced to classical music by a flight attendant whose mother was President of the Sydney Opera Society. Now it is a passion and Rob’s goal is to make this genre enjoyable for everyone by unravelling the mystique around the Classics and Art Music.
Hi Ho everybody, I’m Richard Davey. I have been with 101 FM since early 1992 and over the years I have done every program we have had and every program we currently have. My music taste varies from Remember When, where I play songs from the 40’s till mid 50’s and Drive where I play the latest music. In my time with 101 FM I have been Program Director and Country
I first got involved with radio at 4BH back in the 50's but then fell in love with Picture Theatres and worked in various theatres for many years. The arrival of TV frightened me out of theatres as so many were forced to close. I then worked in the security industry for 36 years in various management positions. Over those years I did do some radio work and 'voice over' work as well as produced several Security Training films. I joined 101 FM whilst still working in security and over the years since I have presented most programs on 101 FM although for many years now I have been involved mostly with Country Music programs.
I've lived in Logan City all my life and since I was very young, I've always loved music and radio. My parents have always been big fans of the music from the 1960s and I grew up listening to that music. I was always the 'DJ' at family celebrations. I joined 101FM in 2010, initially as part of the youth programme Random Outburst and then from early 2012 as a Night Moves and Party Mix presenter. I really love presenting and enjoy being able to play music from the late '50s until the present time.
Ian 'Bluey' George
I worked in commercial radio as a daytime presenter for 15 years at various stations as well as in Sales Management and Marketing for 4 years, as a small business owner, then real estate online advertising as a Business Development Manager for almost 10 years, I come to 101FM with a wealth of experience to offer. If you asked me my passion, its family and music . . . . it really is all about the music for me.
I have been involved in radio since 1982 starting as an on-air announcer at 4CD Gladstone. I have since worked as on-air announcer at 4SS Nambour, 4GY Gympie, 4IP Brisbane, 4CA Cairns and finally at 4RO Rockhampton where I won best talkback announcer for a regional station across Australia in the Australian Radio Awards. I have also won best talkback in the northern Qld Radio Awards and numerous finalist awards in Australia wide radio awards.
These days I work full time with the Salvation Army. My hobbies are photography (including wedding photography), LEGO and painting. I like a good mixture of music, past and new music, however mainstream music would be my favourite. At 101FM I’m not doing talkback (although I miss it at times) instead I am happy
having fun and playing the Biggest Hits and Greatest Memories.
Hello, I am Millie Kirshaw. I am the Gospel, Praise and Worship presenter on Sunday evening from 10pm till midnight. A friend got me involved with radio when he needed a helping hand. My first program was the 1st Sunday in February 1993. I enjoyed bringing God's word in song that evening,
and still enjoy doing it today.
My family, church and radio are my joys in life. I was married to my
husband Keith for forty nine and a half years, before God called him home. We are blessed with 5 children, 15 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter
and another great grandchild due before Christmas.
May God bless all my listeners as they listen to my program of conservative and country Gospel music.
Nathan Kidd known as Kidd Crazy first joined 101FM in 1996, leaving in 2000, and coming back in 2016. He loves all genres of music from the older classics to new music.
Apart from his 'real job' and presenting at 101FM, Nathan has his own DJ business and DJ's in his spare time.
Starting in 1966 in Sydney, I was a panel operator for two commercial radio stations. I went on to talk back radio, ending up at Radio DJ starting as a panel operator during music programs for the armed forces radio in Vietnam during the war. Then after obtaining a community radio licence I presented the first radio broadcast.
After many years with 2RDJFM at Burwood in Sydney I was approached by the Community Radio Network to present a program across Australia which I’m still currently presenting. I have also been involved with these radio stations in Sydney & Country regions: 2CT Campbelltown; MCR 100.3 FM Campbelltown; NBC 90.1 FM Narwee & 107.5FM Orange.

I became interested in radio when I won a competition on a commercial Brisbane FM station in 2001 and was a guest there on a number of occasions. In 2007, I was introduced to 101FM as a client and voiced ads for my employer. In August 2008 I did the presenters course 101FM was offering, then commenced on midnight to dawn in July 2009. I moved to Saturday Night Party Mix in November 2009, a shift I did for 2 years. In January 2012 I was given Saturday Mornings and I still enjoy each and every show I do immensely. In 2012 I was awarded the Presidents Award for outstanding service to the station and I am extremely proud of and grateful for this award.
Garry is one of 101FM's Country Music presenters.
Doug is one of 101FM's Country Music presenters.
I enjoy being a 101FM presenter, prior to that I was a postie for about 40 years. I have also played in numerous bands - The Bandidos, The Temptations and The Trojans, to name a few. I sang for the first time on radio 4KQ in the sixties and went on to win the CCMA Award in Tamworth for the best country gospel song in 1985. I did busking on the streets of Tamworth for quite a few years. I met Neile Willis as the drummer of our country gospel band The Crusaders about 10 years ago, and he asked me to answer the phone while he was presenting his Thursday night country program about 2 years ago. That is when I became a member of 101FM and we now share this program.
I have been a member of 101FM since 1986 and have been doing regular on air shifts since we were granted our broadcast license in 1988. What I like about 101 FM is I can play my favourite music for my listeners out there to enjoy. I do a program that I call Ted's Memories which is 3 hours of music from my favourite eras the 50's & 60's. I also like a lot of the 70's music but not a great fan of modern music, heavy classical or heavy metal. I like being with 101FM, they are a great team and I hope I can still be on air entertaining listeners in the Logan/Brisbane area and the world wide web for many years to come.
Music has always been a big part of my life and from my early days I
would tune in each week to the "Hit Parade" to listen to all the top hits of the time. I was fascinated with the music and listening to the cool DJ's playing the "platters that matter" and "stacks of wax" and I knew that was what I wanted to do. After completing a 6 month radio course in Brisbane, I started my radio career in Mareeba before moving to 4MB Maryborough, 4LM Mt Isa then to 4TO Townsville as Promotions Manager and afternoon announcer. They were great times and now I get to fulfil my passion with music at Logan City's 101FM. It's the radio station that delivers only the best music. I look
forward to your company on Logan City's 101FM, where it is
"All About the Music"

Having the honour and privilege of being a presenter on 101FM provides the opportunity for me to engage with my community in a positive and meaningful way. Helping people to enrich their life outcome and improving their lives for the better has been the core of my personal and professional life. I come to Logan Radio with a wealth of experience in the not-for-profit sector serving in a diversity of roles as CEO, Board Member and Chair of State, National and International charities over a period exceeding 45 years and a passion for music. I look forward to spending time with you, keeping you company, playing great music and bringing joy into your life in the time we are together.
I joined 101FM in March 2016 and have been presenting many programs from Today's Country to The Biggest Hits & Greatest Memories. This includes Breakfasts, Mornings, Afternoons, Nights, Late Nights, Mid-Dawns (1am to 5am) and Outside Broadcasts. The 101FM music format allows us to focus into our listeners music decades with the many presenters and their music selections. I was in commercial Radio for 15 years from 1982 to 1996 and then I left the industry for roughly 20 years. They say you don't know how much you miss something until it's gone. With me it's the reverse - I didn't know how much I missed Radio until I came back to 101FM.

Being a presenter at 101FM has opened up a whole new world of music knowledge and appreciation for me. It's a dream come true. I’ve been with the station since 2008. Since starting at the station, I have been honoured to receive the Jim O'Brien Award in 2010, The President's Award for dedication and service in 2011 and the President's "Star" Award in 2014. A presenter needs to be flexible as the station works continually to improve it’s sound and introduces new equipment and software to achieve this.My musical interests are fairly wide ranging and the station format of Biggest Hits and Greatest Memories allows me to play the type of music in different programs, I trust our listeners will appreciate and enjoy.
