I spent a few years in the early 1980s as a DJ at a popular roller-skating rink and also had a regular job as DJ at parties and wedding receptions.
My favourite music era is from 1975 to 1985, but I also have tremendous respect for the calibre of songs that were released in the late Sixties. I prefer songs that made the Top 40 in their day, rather than the quirky or alternative stuff.

However, when work commitments don’t take me interstate, I also often present the Late Show on Tuesday Nights and during that time I like to feature the music from a single year during the Sixties, Seventies or Eighties and take the listeners back in time with popular songs from that year, while also revisiting aspects of that year including significant events, popular movies and TV shows, the prices of basic goods and the items that were the sought-after gadgets or popular Christmas gifts back then.
