McHappy Day Logan Central Outside Broadcast

Ronald McDonald House Charities help seriously ill children and their families with their McHappy Day which was held on Saturday 14th November 2020. 101FM broadcasted live from the McDonald's Logan Central store 9am to 1pm with Nathan Kidd presenting. Mike Anderson looked after the studio, while Hodgy looked after all things technical and TJ supervised. McHappy Day is crucial in raising funds for the charity, which helps keep families together while their seriously ill child undergoes treatment.

Logan City Volunteer of The Year Awards

101FM's very own Ted Thirkill was nominated in the 2020 Logan City Volunteer of the Year Award. The winner of the Frank Lenz Memorial Award for Volunteer of the Year was Cheryl Bright and the Davida Steele Memorial Award for an Outstanding Community Organisation is the Rochedale/Springwood Meals On Wheels.
